New Year I realized last night that everything I own, including the cats, my computer, my files, my wacom... Everything I hold dear is replaceable, except my son and my life. When I woke up this morning, that same thought was on my mind, and so I decided to simplify my life. My New Year's Resolution is to stop being such a packrat. I want to get rid of all my hand me downs, and start only keeping things that I bought for myself - things that mean something to me. Ditch the closet, find my own style. Ditch the laptop, buy a mac. Ditch the car, buy something new (and more ME). It'll be expensive at first, but it will teach me more respect for

I am a very lucky girl this holiday season... I'm in love with my best friend, my son is safe and sound, and I have a bright new career awaiting me next year. Some things aren't perfect, like my not getting to give Michael my gifts to him until January, but they are live-with-able, considering all of the circumstances... As I look back at this past year, I can see that I am very lucky indeed... We won the custody case, I survived being hit by another car...
